Construction Grammar Meets Language Testing and Evaluation: Redefining & Ensuring Construct Validity

<p>Theoretical linguistics and teaching are concurrent, that is, neither can exist without the other. In other words, decisions made in (foreign) language will inevitably affect how testing evaluation as a concept is designed administered. For example, if curriculum states English foreign teachers need to make distinction between gerund an infinitive classroom teach it such, then, this be tested or evaluated one way another. article, (LTE), important component teaching, combined with construction grammar (henceforth CxG), salient theory of ample evidence support its claims. Specifically, article discusses construct validity, test items, rubrics reimagined from perspective usage-based grammar. </p>
